Stainless steel food dehydrators

As I mentioned in my previous post, we are feeding our puppy Kody, now 9 months on a Raw meat diet, this is going great so far, he is healthy, full of beans and has a large appetite, currently 1.5Kg (3.3) pounds per day plus treats.

Although this is every dog owners dream and I wouldn’t wish for it any other way, but we are finding it a little financially challenging as he eats better than us and the kids .

In fact I have been using a company called Nutriment and don’t get me wrong its is very high quality, so much so I would be tempted to make a burger and fling it on the barbecue .

I guess you get what you pay for. I have tried a few different suppliers and even tried some of my own home made meals but I am worried he’s not getting enough nutriments,so reverted back to the frozen raw complete meals.

After a couple of beers I came up with another idea, what’s if I could make my own treats ?? by using a dehydrator I could probably save in the region of $31 / £25 a week and i would no exactly whats in the treats as well !!

Having looked into many Dehydrators and the process of dehydrating meat, fruit and veg I am confident that I can produce my own tasty dog treats.

I like the fact of a stainless steel dehydrator as it looks more robust and hopefully lasts longer than its cheaper plastic counterpart.

I will let you know as soon as possible in a later post how it all goes, how much it actually costs and if my pup actually likes it lol !!
